For more than 50 years, Špacapanova Hiša has been a bastion of karst cuisine. Run by the Špacapan family since 1973, the restaurant's current success is largely due to their son and talented director, Ago, who has raised the culinary quality to a higher level. Regional cuisine is made with local ingredients. Depending on the season, don't miss the lamb and goat, both raised in the Karst and cooked in the oven, served with cow's milk curd ravioli. Karst traditions are also kept alive in the winery, where you can taste wines, hams and cheeses matured in situ. If you wish to extend your stay, the restaurant also offers rooms, some of which have been recently renovated with period furniture."
