Just south of La Merced Market, this little gastronomic corner is a real surprise in every way. With just a few tables and no visible menu, the dining experience here is inspired by the rich Mixtec region of Oaxaca. Despite his youth, chef Toño García demonstrates a culinary skill that goes beyond his years, elevating indigenous preparations with a refined touch. His dishes, both colorful and exquisite, could easily stand out in more luxurious settings. From the avocado croquette topped with nopales to the yellow mole with fish wrapped in leaf santa and a spirited beet salad, each bite is a journey through the flavors of Mexico and beyond. However, the star dish is undoubtedly the taco, made with three-color corn and accompanied by tender tongue, grilled pineapple and pickled red onion.
