Since its opening, The Dutch, under the direction of chef Andrew Carmellini, has been acclaimed and loved by its guests. It quickly became a SoHo icon, with its charming corner windows inviting passersby with a selection of fresh oysters, cozy seating, and impeccably dressed service. Both the atmosphere and the menu have an irresistible appeal; the latter, although familiar, offers exciting updates.
Among the highlights is the ""Chinatown Calamari"", squid rings fried to a crispy golden texture, served with a diced cucumber salad and dressed with fresh herbs and a spicy vinaigrette. Fresh pasta ravioli, filled with subtly smoked ricotta, float atop a bright, simple pomodoro sauce. The grilled snapper, accompanied by an avocado sauce and charred shishitos, is further enhanced by the addition of their excellent French fries on the side.
